Artist Profile 
George Popadynec George Popadynec has been an avid photographer for over twenty years. During his career as an engineer in the Canadian Forces, George received special training in photography and was responsible for developing training standards used in the military's Photographic Technician courses. His also attended college courses where he studied photography, learning about visual composition and acquiring techniques to further develop his skills in photography. His love of photography, enthusiasm and attention to detail are evident in his work. In his search for new locations and subjects to photograph, George has met many interesting people, some of whom have shared their favorite locations with him. He has been able to capture on film many of those special places. George specializes in three areas of photography. His cityscape, floral and outdoor photography capture the unique and fleeting splendor of each scene as experienced at different times of the day and throughout the four seasons. Much of George's work is centered around the Ottawa Valley, Algonquin Park and the Muskoka Lakes region of Ontario. His carefully composed photographs convey the mood of each scene with such intensity as to evoke an emotional response in the viewer. Since George began selling his work commercially in 1997, his photographs, prints and calendars have been sold in gift shops and galleries, and have been used by federal government departments and corporations to promote Canada's unique natural treasures abroad.
